Dramatic, heavy, early Mexican silver link bracelet marked "silver mexico". Bracelet has 9 wave like links each measurin 1.25" X .75". This is an unmarked very early Mexican bracelet dating most likely to the 20's or 30's. Mexico did not have a uniform standard for marking silver until 1948, prior to that Sterling silver could be marked silver or eve nothing at all. this one is marked silver, Mexico and test positive for sivler. The only downside to this otherwise outstanding piece is that the clasp has been changed. Insted of a two-pieced clasp, the clasp was replaced with a modern clasp. luckily it was placed on the underside of the bracelet so that it is not particularly noticable when wearing. Bracelet measures8.5" X1.25" and weighs 47.4 grams.
