Early Millers Falls Langdon Jointer Gauge / Gage No. 88 ~ Scarce & Fine!!VERY FINE CONDITION!! Attaches to either side of the plane. Nine inch fence. Use for obtaining extremely accurate angles from 30 to 90 degrees. Good for chamfer work. All complete and original. There is no rusting or significant pitting, chipping or dinging anywhere on the gage and it is not damaged in any way. Japanning remains 97% intact. The exposed metal has a nice patina.Marked on the face of the angle locking nut "Langdon Mitre Box Co Millers Falls Mass". "Langdon" was one of the trade names used by the Millers Falls Co. Millers Falls catalogued this gauge with their Langdon tools and called it their "No. 88 Perfection Jointer Gauge". The Millers Falls name was added to the casting around 1925. This EARLY version is marked only on the locking nut.Simpler to use than its Stanley Plane cousin.
