If you are not planning on paying right away, please contact me to let me know when to expect payment. ------------------ ITEM: -------------- Early Mirror Pair Chinese Root Wood Carvings Sculptures Boys Oxen Stands These two intricately carved late 19th/early 20th century Chinese root wood carvings sit on custom-made carved dark stained wood stands. Each sculpture is a mirror image of the other. The attention to detail is exquisite: the anatomical details of faces, hooves on underside of oxen, and the folds, textures, etc. The eyes of oxen and boys have glass eye inlays (one tiny inlay is missing from one of the boys’ eye, but the lids define the eyes and the tiny loss is hardly noticeable.
