Artist Biography: Norma L. Diddel (1901 - 1973) Norma L. Diddel, sister of the artist Marguerite Merriam Diddel, was born January 25, 1901 in Denver. She attended Denver schools and studied at the University of Denver & UCLA. She completed a Master’s Degree in Education at Colorado State University at Greely. She also did special studies at Harvard University at Cambridge, Massachusetts & Tallar de Grafica, Mexico City, Mexico. She created many paintings, etchings, prints, pottery which she exhibited at Joslyn Art Museum, 1931-1954; Lincoln Art Gallery, 1935-1954 and also other exhibits in Nebraska, Colorado, Florida as well as in traveling exhibitions through Kansas and Oklahoma. She was also the author of many articles on art education which appeared in publications in Nebraska, Ohio, and Massachusetts. She taught art for many years in Denver Public Schools and Colorado Colleges before becoming Associate Professor at Nebraska State Teachers College in Peru, Nebraska, read more
