You are bidding on this early mark, large Niloak art pottery vase shown. Size, large 14" high, and about 7-1/2" wide at its widest .. As you may know, this type of different color swirled clay is known as Misson Ware or Mission Swirl. The Niloak mark shown on the bottom of this vase is the early first Niloak mark. Condition, good, no chips, no cracks, it has a small kiln pinhole on the upper exterior, its shown in one of my pictures.The interior rim has dark rub marks all along the inside, as if the opening was once filled by a lamp fixture, but ( if it was once a lamp ), there never was a hole in the vase for the electric cord. So its a vase, that may have been used as a lamp, I don't know for sure. I bought this Niloak vase at Brimfield about 15 years ago. NO RESERVE. The buyer will pay $ 22.00 for UPS Ground shipping. .
