I am thrilled to offer this early and totally marvelous one of a kind find. This lovely folk art painting was found in Lancaster, PA and it just gorgeous. It caught my eye right away as I have never seen anything quite like it. The bold red round hens are marvelous and make such a statement. I just love the colors and detail...such an exceptional find. Some hens rest alone in a nest of straw with just the best shaped eggs in all shades of white and black piled in nests around them. The background is the best shade of deep caramel brown. Such warm colors!They seem to be standing watch! The size and shape is truly unique...and the original paint only adds to its overall value and undeniable charm. The details on this piece are amazing and every time I look at it I see something new! So simple and yet marvelous. The best part is the rustic wood frame and early wire screen that completes the piece. So unique! Just a great example of American folk art at its best. This is a one of a kind museum quality collection...perfect for the collector. Display it any way you'd like..set it by the fireplace, in a corner of the room, over a hutch or cabinet....in any room at all! Looks great among a collection of other primitive finds.
