ABOUT THIS AUCTION: FOR SALE is a fine early Nippon hand-painted vase, pre 1920, with a beautiful scene of trees, reeds, a house and a figure. It is in the form of a pitcher. SIZE 8 inches HIGH by 6 inches WIDE. CONDITION: In excellent condition, as shown. No damage, chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration. Paint is intact and not faded. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Our research indicates that this is an early piece of export Japanese porcelain. The work "Nippon" was not used on vases after 1920 or so.
