An Extremely RARE Survivor !!! This is a Hand Made, Hand Painted , South East Pennsylvania School Teachers, A B C's Alphabet " Prompter" Dated 1854, and in Excellent Original Condition. It lists all of the Alphabet from " A to Z ", and the Z can be seen between the 18 and the 54. The Reverse is Blank, but you can bet your booties this was also used as a Seat Warmer ( Spanking) for Children that got a little out of hand. It is in 100% Pure Condition, and you may never see another like it. It was used by the Teacher for Students, that would have to recite the Alphabet ,and would lose their place, she would then hold it up ,for the Child's reference ,then place it down when not needed. It has NO restorations of any kind. It measures 17 1/2" long x 9" wide. This would be a great Gift for any one that was connected with the Teaching Profession.
