(BB) Here's an original drawing by RUSS MANNING of JOHN CARTER OF MARS, created during the early 1950s. This art has been in a private collection for many years and is now being made available to the collecting community on eBay with NO RESERVE. Keep an eye on our other eBay auctions every week as we continued to sell items from the collection of JERRY WEIST. Jerry passed away in January of 2011 and I am selling his SCIENCE FICTION and COMIC FANZINE collection and MONSTER MAGAZINES on behalf of his estate. RUSS MANNING (1929-1981 was an American comic book artist who created the series MAGNUS ROBOT FIGHTER and illustrated such popular newspaper comic strips as TARZAN and STAR WARS during his lengthy career. Manning had grown up reading fantasy and science fiction pulp magazines and early on developed a love for the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs and other authors.
