Early Ruth Thrune Coon Valley WI Norwegian Rosemalled Wooden Child's Antique Shoe MoldAn antique wooden child's shoe mold Rosemalled and turned into a thing of beauty by the well know Rosmaller, Ruth Thrune.Ruth was from Coon Valley, Wisconsin and early on was taught by Nels Ellingsgard of Norway at the Norwegian American Museum in Decorah Iowa.It is very well done and shows a pretty collection of subtle colors. A mellow tan background.Size: 6.5" long by 2.5" high with the hump. Very good condition for its age. There is a metal heel and a odd toe piece underneath. Shows may holes from the shoemaker underneath as well. A gold paper label for Ruth Thrune. This would be very attractive on a stand and with a collection of Norwegian rosemalling. The form and feel speaks to you or the long history of the art. Please see and enlarge photos and email with any questions prior to purchase. Thanks!
