Early Sammo Acoustic Parlor Cowboy Guitar is an antique cowboy parlor guitar with a label inside that reads Sammo Guaranteed against mechanical defect, Samuel C Osborn Mfg Co Masonic Temple Chicago Ill, corner has number F 5003. Guitar needs work, but I think it is worth the effort since the wood is so nice. Top has nice rope inlay around the sound hole and down the back. The neck needs to be adjusted, one tuner screw is missing and the plate is loose. The fretboard needs replacing it has cracks and worn spots. Side has a crack comming off w the neck attaches. Back has seperated along the center inlay. The wood and workmanship in this guitar is interesting. The sides are rosewood, I'm not sure what the back wood is, but it doesn't look as nice as the sides. Top looks like spruce. Back measures 18 1/4" and bouts are 13 1/4" and 9 1/2". Interesting old guitar, fresh out of an estate. Welcome to my One Man Antique Bazaar. Like the name says, I'm one man who brings some of the most unique and rare antiques to ebay.
