For your consideration is this Fantastic, Early Santo Domingo Pueblo Pottery Vase. This vase came out of an estate from a gentleman who told me his mother was a missionary to the Navajo Santo Domingo Pueblo Indians in the late 20's until 1932 when she came back to the northeast. I believe this to be true because I also bought from him several pieces of Santo Domingo pottery and jewelry which I also will be listing on Ebay. He told me that his mother would receive these item from Tribal members as appreciation for her time spent with them. From what I have been able to find out, the earlier pieces were not marked because they were for tribal members and not for sale. The vase measures approximately 6" across at the top opening and stands about 5 1/2" tall to the top of the handle. The vase appears to be in good, overall, undisturbed condition, with no cracks or chips, no paint or color work, and no restoration. There is a straight, blue painted line on one side of the vase-appears to be made in the making. Hopefully the pictures will tell the story so please take the time to look over all the pictures carefully. I don't claim to be an expert on Native American items so please also email questions prior to bidding.. Thanks so much for looking! Tiquehunter 04.04.004
