An Original, Nice, and Early Date Example of Spanish American War Era US Model Krag Jorgensen Bayonet and Scabbard, Dated 1897! The Bayonet rig is complete and is a nice example to complete the Krag Jorgensen rifle! The Bayonet has a bright blade with some small spotting. The first 1-1/2" of the blade has been slightly sharpened on one side and there are some small nicks, otherwise the blade is in decent shape. The blade is marked "US" on one side and with the date 1897 on the other. The wooden handle is riveted in place and the wood has some damage on the top of the right side grip. The left side grip is tight and pretty smooth. The locking button works perfectly. The metal scabbard has a nice shape with minimal denting. The scabbard has some spots of corrosion and some light pitting, but overall, it is quite nice. The US Model Krag Jorgensen Bayonet and Scabbard are in decent shape and in VF Condition!
