The design is a classic one of a five point star. The cutter's back has a handle and a hole to allow for the air to escape. Date: Mid to Late 1800s Origin: Was acquired at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania Size: 3" by 3" in diameter with the design being 5/8" in depth. Maker: Unknown Marks: Unmarked. Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: Truly an old and nice cookie cutter with a very common design. Condition: The cutter is well aged to a very nice warm and dark gray patina. T are some minor rust spots on the front and back commensurate with the cutter's age.
