From my private collection please consider this very old two panel Chimayo blanket Sarape..consistent with age the blanket is in excellent condition without material loss or damage however there is some MINOR which looks like coffee stain as shown in my pics on one end OF the blanket ..the early Chimayo blankets were made on primitive looms creating a two panel blanket..the piece is smoke free and all fringe is in tact..100% wool circa 1920s..Measures 58 X 86 without the fringe... on this outstanding weaving created by the Ortega family of Chimayo New Mexico.. IN CASE THERE MIGHT BE SOMEONE LOOKING AT THIS BLANKET.. PLEASE UNDER STAND THIS WEAVING SERVES A DUAL PURPOSE AS A BLANKET AND ALSO A WEARING GARMENT REFERRED TO AS A "SERAPE"..
