Rare genuine early WW2 British Silk Escape & Evasion Map. This is the earliest version with black print on white silk. Issued to Behind Enemy Lines troops including RAF aircrew, SOE agents, SAS, Commandos and Special Operations personnel. Scale 1:2,000,000. Measures 18 x 15 inches. A.D.I.(Maps) Air Ministry Reference 9U, No. 7330. The map covers Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and the border regions of Denmark and France. Small and easily concealed when folded. In as new condition as issued (please see the detailed photograph). This is a really excellent example of a very rare WW2 British silk escape map.
