An Original, Vintage, Early WW2 era, USN Navy CPO, Chief Petty Officer's Hat Badge, with applied Sterling Silver "U.S.N." Letters with an integral Fouled Rope, and Pin backed with a Rotating Catch ! The Full Sized CPO Hat Badge is 1-11/16" in overall size, pin backed as mentioned, Gilt Bronze with STERLING SILVER letters and marked "ACID TEST" with a snowflake pattern on the anchor and "STERLING" on the Letters. An interesting and Early USN CPO Hat Badge. The badge itself is clean and in VF+ Condition. Generally a Very Nice piece to add to a WW2 Era USN CPO Veteran's Hat, Medal, Uniform or Insignia Grouping!
