As a young, burly hard-throwing pitcher, Wynn developed a curveball, slider, changeup and knuckleball and exceptional command to harness that arsenal. Early Wynn retired with a 300-244 record with 2,334 strikeouts and a 3.54 ERA in 4,566 innings pitched. Early Wynn was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
