Early 19th Century hand carved Meerschaum pipe. THIS AUCTION IS FOR A Early 19th Century hand carved Talon Meerschaum pipe. This is an another very good example of an Early 19th Century hand carved Meerschaum pipe. pipe came from same collection, as my other auctions. The carving depicts a Talon . Very well crafted showing extremely good detail right down to the hair and scales.The patina is very warm and quite handsome. This is very delicate in proportion piece as Meerschaums go. The Stem seems to be original and probably Amber. The joint between the pipe and the stem is right on the center. A great collector piece. This will definitely stand out in your collection... Dimensions: Total Length: 5 5/8"". Height: 1 3/4" bowl dia 1 1/16"the condition is excellent. The photos will tell you more than my description...
