EAST GERMAN ARMY NVA WILHELM PIECK BADGE 1987 - 1990 Genuine NVA Wilhem Pieck Academy Badge, 1987-1990. The Wilhelm Pieck Academy was founded in 1970 for the purpose of training selected officers to serve as political cadres in the armed forces. The overriding purpose was to make sure that through the use of officers trained in agit-prop/agitation-propaganda techniques the troops would remain loyal to the East German Communist Party (SED) and the cause of “socialism and peace.” The diamond-shaped badge is red with white trim, and features a frontal view of Wilhelm Pieck, first president of the DDR.We accept paypal, Cheques and Uncrossed Postal OrdersWe are happy to offer all our customers excellent savings by combining lots to save on postage/shipping.
