When the government decided to seal the Berlin border the Kampfgruppen units in Berlin were alerted and told to assemble at designated points along the border. The Kampfgruppen medals are a complete set in Bronze, Silver, and Gold along with their respective ribbions. The medals feature a Kampfgruppen member and an East German soldier standing guard with Berlin's Brandenburg Gate in the background. The set is un-issued in mint condition. The second item in the auction is a 43 page booklet that gives a historical account of the building of the Berlin Wall from the view of the East German governement. The booklet is a soft cover and has 61 pictures, maps, graphs and political cartoons packed inside. You don' read more
