1974 Easton Press The History of "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" Volume III by Edward Gibbon Illustrated from the Etchings by Gian Battista Piranesi Easton Press Collector Edition books are Hardback Premium Leather (cover) with 22kt gold accents, hubbed spines, thread-sewn pages(for strength and durability) printed on long-lasting high quality acid neutral paper, have endsheets made from rich moire fabric, elegant gilded page edges and include a permanent satin ribbon page marker. "The History of the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" Volume III is done in Rich Brown Leather with gold accents The book measures 6 3/4" x 9 1/2" tall, with 1225 pages. Condition wise there is a name plate attached at the front of the book. It is elegant looking and has not been filled out . On the back cover, lower left corner there are 2 small scuffs in leather, and at the top left corner a tiny rub(teeny tiny) There are a few scratches in the gold gilding of page edges. On the front , there is tiny amount of wear in the gold accenting, not worth mentioning really and on the spine the first hub has a tiny rub in the leather. I did notice that the book seems to be printed closer to the top edge of the book than the bottom(Please see Picture 4) I don't know if this is how it is supposed to be, but I have several Easton books that are printed read more
