This magnificent large whisky decanter from Edinburgh Crystal is in the ''Montrose" pattern. It has never been used and has its two labels intact. The label at the top is diamond shaped and states 'Edinburgh Crystal'. The other label at the base states 'Quality Crystal from Scotland'. It is also etched 'Edinburgh Crystal' to base. The decanter stands approximately 9.5" tall x 4" diameter across each of the four panels. The underside has a large starburst design , rising to a solid and substantial base. Each panel has a diamond and cross hatch design, topped with wide leaf blades. The wide corners are chamfered and clear. The shoulders of the decanter have double cut lines along each edge intersecting with double cut lines across each corner. The short neck is widely faceted up to the substantial pouring/holding lip at the top. The stopper is round and multi faceted. It fits snugly into the neck of the decanter, complementing it perfectly. A spectacular decanter from Edinburgh Crystal, lovely to use and sparkling on display.
