Complete with rare original dust jacket in poor condition with splits down the spine but substantially complete. This edition was first published by Hodder & Stoughton Ltd., London, 1916. 2nd issue, 1919.This book is the first issue with an extra colour illustration, making 16 in total. Illustrated throughout by Edmund Dulac. With 16 full-page tipped-in colour illustrations. The green cloth boards, decorated and titled in gold and brown are in good condition with staining showing on the rear board (See picture). The spine and binding are also in good condition. Internally in very good order with nice clean pages. The 16 full-page colour illustrations are in good order complete with their orignal tissue guards. This book has a period inscription on the front free end-paper. A nice example of this classic Dulac title.
