UP FOR BID IS A ANTIQUE MOBILE SIZE HAND HAMMERED JAPANESE BRONZE BELL, WAS USED BY BUDDHIST MONK AROUND 1800-1850 (LATE EDO-PERIOD). THIS BELL BOWL MEASURES 4" WIDE X 2 1/4" IN HEIGHT AND HAS A BEAUTIFUL PATINA ON THE SURFACE OF THE BELL. THIS BELL WAS UNCOVERED AT A CONSTRUCTION SITE IN JAPAN WHEN A HOME WAS BEING BUILT AND THE GROUND WAS BEING EXCAVATED. ED0-PERIOD BOWL BELL ARE NOT EASY TO FIND AND ESPECIALLY IN JAPAN!
