The E F Caldwell Co of New York created desk set items that competed with Tiffany Studios and, in my humble opinion, produced a better product. Far more exclusive as well. This Rocker Blotter was produced in the height of the depression when other companies were struggling or closing. But the rich still had the funds to buy extravagant pieces like this highly detailed item.
