This is a very nice quality little bisque figurine dating from around the Edwardian period. It is of the character Tam O' Shanter, one of the great poet Robert Burns' creations, sitting with a wee dram in hand and wearing breeches and the floppy hat that was named after him.The figurine is coloured in a manner that is similar to the Worcester peach ground wares of the time and is lovely quality but unfortunately there is no makers mark on the piece. It is perfect with no chips, cracks or restoration and measures 11 cms high. A great addition to any collection.
