This auction is for two pieces of beautiful antique silk satin fragments salvaged from an Edwardian era gown. The ribbon is stunning and is lightweight, but with substance;it is very pliable for use. It has the loveliest fine silk thread embroidered motifs throughout and is edged with green thread to prevent fraying. This is a very desirable textile and I can assure one that they will love it. It is very difficult to find this type of pattern in such good condition. The larger piece measures approximately 15.5" - 19 1/4" in length on either side and is about 7" - 7.5" midpoint - 8" in width. Rose motif is about 1 1/8" x 1 1/4" (ex.);the smaller piece is approximately 10 1/4" - 12 3/4" in length on either side x 4" - 5 1/4" - 8" at widest width. There are minor surface marks inherent with age, which do not affect its appearance or use. This is to be expected and is not even readily noticeable. I believe that this could possibly be French in origin. Please see auction item #230603800018 which accompanies this. It is being sold "As Is". FLAT-RATE SHIPPING FEE IS $.65 USA ONLY
