Amazing record handwritten by a British gentleman (Sandhurst trained) serving in Nagpur Inidia during the early 1990s. There are an incredible 381 written pages all approx 12cm x 20cm in size. They mention all aspects of life encountered by an Englishman serving in India. Polo, Lord Curzon (the Vice Roy of India) and Sir Trevor are mentioned (father of Pamela who Sir Winston Churchill was romanically connected with). The manuscript is written as a series of letters and they dont appear to be in any order and would need sorting out, I havent read all the pages but there is talk of the Indian climate and heavy rain, voyages on ships, pet horses and altogther it paints a very good and unique picture of life in India during the Edwardian period, great research item. The first page only is shown to give you an idea of the format and the cover.
