An Edwardian Saphiret 'Man in the Moon' caviar spoon, dating from the early twentieth century.The spoon is made from gilt metal with a mother-of-pearl bowl, with the saphiret claw-set into the end of the handle.The saphiret is bright and of very good colour and measures approximately 18mm (0.70") in diameter. Could possibly be reset into a piece of jewellery. The spoon measures approximately 220mm (8.65") long, with the bowl measuring approximately 65 x 60mm (2 .5 x 2.35").In very good original condition, with some small marks of wear from age and use - see images for detail, scale and condition.Thanks for taking a look, good luck if you decide to bid.
