Your chance to own a little piece ofhistory. Recovered from the 1707 wreck of HMS Association. This is a William III Silver Shilling which is in remarkable condition after spending 300 years on the seabed. It is in EF or better condition. There is a weakness on the date but apart from that it is pretty near perfect. Presented here in a silver mount so it may be worn on a chain this mount is not soldered and if preferred can simply be removed. This must have been in the middle of a clump of coins as there is no corrosion or porosity. You just will not find a better shilling of this date form this or any other wreck It is solid silver and was recovered from the ASSOCIATION , Flagship of Sir Clowdisley Shovell which sank near the Isles of Scilly on 22nd October 1707 together with 4 other ships . It comes complete with a certificate of authenticity personally signed by the salvor .
