You are bidding on an Egyptian made short sword purchased in1959/1960. This is a locally madeEgyptian sword in a leather scabbard with leather strap. Overall length (including scabbard) is approximately 25”. The leather scabbard is light mahogany color with some embossed decoration. The strap is held on by two steel rings which are a bit rusted and the leather strap has some cracking from age. The steel blade has some rust. There are some decorative figures on both sides, one of which is a fish… not sure of what the other figures are supposed to be. The blade has a length of 18” and a width at the hilt of approximately 1.5”. The handle is made of dark wood with bone inlay. Some of the inlay pieces are missing. The end of the handle is somewhat loose but in no danger of coming off.
