Here is a delightful collection of eight decorative demitasse cups and saucers from various European makers. 1. Made by Saxe this cup and saucer has a cobalt blue background with gold decoration. The hand painted scene shows a man serenading a woman in a pastoral setting and the inside of the rim is decorated with a floral design. The decorative handle of the cup is also gilded. The cup measures just under 2 3/4" tall with the saucer measuring just under 4 3/4" in diameter. There are no cracks or chips and the overall used condition is good with little to no wear on the gilded areas. It has the SAXE crown symbol on the base. 2. This demitasse cup and saucer was made by H. Wisner and has the Mintons symbol on the base. It has a lovely turquoise raised design on a gilded background with a raised white star or petal pattern on the side of the cup and the middle of the saucer. The cup measures 2 1/4" tall and the saucer measures 4 1/2" in diameter. No cracks, chips or wear on this cup and saucer set. 3. A demitasse cup and saucer marked "Dresden" on the bottom. It shows two hand painted romantic scenes between two hand painted floral scenes on a gilded base. The saucer shows the same decorative arrangement and measures just over 4 1/4" in diameter.
