Athene's Owl by Donald Pollard This majestic crystal figurine is 5" inch tall and designed by famed Steuben artist Donald Pollard in 1955. This an extraordinary work of art currently retailing as item 8065 for $1,100. It is signed and flawless except for a few minor scratches on the bottom of the base and two very minor flea bites. The owl shape is composed of two simple, solid forms. The beak is made with a small V-cut. The eyes are ground in and left with a mat finish; they are then polished in the center and the engraver adds the pupils. The crystal is of flawless clarity. Due to its heavy weight shipping and handling will be $20, more internationally. It can be sent by FedEx at an additional charge. Insurance, if requested, would be additional.
