Elihu Root [1845 1937] was an American lawyer and statesman who was the 1912, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. He was the prototype of the 20th century ''wise man'' and was appointed as the 38th United States Secretary of State from 1905-1909, and also served as the 41st United States Secretary of War from 1899-1904. Listed for auction is the autograph of Elihu Root signed on a album page. The autograph is signed ''Elihu Root'' in black fountain pen and the album page measures 4.50 x 2.50 inches and is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic and the album page is a nice example of this noted statesman. We have listed a nice collection of political, aviation, military, explorers and astronaut autographs.
