This beautiful doll is an Elisabeth Pongrantz doll made for New Munich Art Dolls. I purchased this doll in Germany at the German Toy Fair and bought many dolls from her to sell in my store. This is a baby girl carved out of wood and hand painted and is unique and beautiful. She was designed by Elisabeth Pongrantz for New Munich Art Dolls and is numbered 4 of 21. You can see the NMAD on the back of the head in one of the photos. She wears a pink knit pram suit with three little buttons and has a matching knit hat. The pram suit has feet with little string ties. The cloth body is sand filled and stitched at wrists, elbows, hips and knees. She weighs 1 pounds 1 oz and is 9 inches long. She is available because our store closed after 13 years and we are selling our remaining inventory. This is new store stock and has never been owned. She still has her string hang tag which is written in German. A NOTE ABOUT THE DESIGNER: Elisabeth’s wooden dolls stand apart in the irresistible charm of their simplicity.
