Lithographic print by Elizabeth O'Neill Verner, who has been described as the "best known twentieth-century woman artist of Charleston." (1883-1979). Pencil-signed in lower right corner by the artist: "Elizabeth ONeill Verner Repro." Print depicts a woman standing up holding a baby. Excellent condition. Print=7 inches x 8 inches (framed=12 3/4 x 14 1/4). Verner, who lived and worked in Charleston, was a major figure of the Charleston Renaissance. She was instrumental in sparking the preservation movement in Charleston through her art that depicted local scenes and historic architecture. **** I have four pencil-signed prints that would make a wonderful collection!
