Antique English Silver Plate Elkington Engraved Huge Tea Kettle on swivel Stand.Perfect for Downton Abbey! 😋This is a nice quality, English silver plated kettle on a swivel stand made by Elkington & Co. This 19th century piece is finely engraved with ornate flourishes. The engraving on this piece is excellent quality! The kettle and base have never been monogrammed, though there are cartouches on the kettle that can house a monogram. The top of the kettle has a well constructed, hidden hinge. This piece needs to be polished.The stand does not lay completely flat there's a difference in height between the right and left side. It is approximately off by 1/4 inch. I imagine it could be bent back or leveled with a felt pad.The capacity is approximately 3.5 liters or 1 gallon.The underside of the kettle is marked Elkington & Co and is numbered 10513 With the letter L above it. There are 5 stamps above the words Elkington & Co.This piece is in good condition and the engravings are very crisp. The burner looks to be original but I believe it is missing the cover.The kettle measures 11 1/2 inches from back to spout.The base measures 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches.The whole piece, the kettle placed on the stand, measures 15 1/2 inches tall.Included with the tea kettle, stand and burner is a measuring spoon that is silver plated and marked with the
