Exceptional, award-winning 1932 color monotype by listed California and Disney artist Elmer Plummer (1910-1987). Plummer studied at the Chouinard Institute with Millard Sheets and later worked for Warner Brothers and Disney Studios. He lived and worked in Hollywood for most of his career, exhibiting at the Los Angeles County Fair, the Los Angeles Art Association, the California Watercolor Society, the Stendahl Gallery in Los Angeles, the Art Institute of Chicago, and many others.This monotype was exhibited at the 1932 Los Angeles County Fair and won a prize. It is signed lower right (covered by the mat ---- only the tops of the letters are visible), measures 12" x 10" (image size), and is in good condition. A label from the L.A. County Fair identifying the print is attached to the back of the frame. In a quality frame and mat (frame has some rubbing and nicks).Please see my other auctions for more fine paintings and prints.
