A rare opportunity to own the beautiful jacket that Elvis wore in one of his best film roles, "Jailhouse Rock." This jean jacket was worn by Elvis in the opening scenes of this 1957 classic. Elvis can be seen wearing the jacket in the opening scene as depicted in the photographs from the film. In this pivotal scene Elvis paying "Vince Everett is in a bar drinking with his co-workers when a fight breaks out with one of the patrons. "Vince" accidentally kills a man in the bar room fight leading to his be convicted of manslaughter and being sent to jail. This jacket was obtained from an estate sale in Texas from a large collector of film and hollywood memorabilia. I will be listing other items from this sale within the coming months. The jacket which is in good condition has a metro goldwyn mayer label which has the name "E. Presley written in black ink with below the name next to "No." are the numbers (which are faded) "171-, the last number after one is difficult to read as it's faded. With some research it shows that the production number of the MGM film "Jailhouse Rock" was 1719, thus identifying this as the jacket worn by Elvis in the film. Inside the jacket it's also stamped "MGM" also it has a tag attached ( which I believe is a laundry tag) which is stamped "MGM." Insurance is mandatory and will be included in the shipping price read more
