This is the 3 rd time I have had to re-list this item! Each time the deal fell through. I have added some items (listed at the end). is my mothers hand clipped articles from 1956 that she had in her scrapbook. She was in high school at the time and was an Elvis nut. I received this from her estate. When I picked it up out of the box it fell apart. The old tape just could not hold up to 51 years! The book it's self is beyond help. However I managed to get all the articles and pictures. These are all the real thing (no photo copies). As far as I can tell they all date 1956 and are from music magazines and newspapers. I believe the newspapers are the "Denver Post" and "The Rocky Mountain News", "Reporter Herald", and "The Tucson Sun". Articles range from music/TV critics, letters to the editor about how good/bad he was, some from parents who were concerned for their child; some are ads for concerts and so forth. The magazine clippings are your basic 56 teen idol things. I really like the article about the big "SLUG FEST" between Elvis and Pat Boon. I have a hard time seeing a "Pay-Per-View" event on that one (Elvis would whap him). T are also a few pictures and other misc. These are in good shape but most still have the old yellowed tape on the corners. The winner can take it off if they wish. Its kind of fun to read the ads and read more
