This is a rather special (and definitely old) milk glass Gone With the Wind oil or kerosene lamp globe in extraordinarily good condition. It measures just about 7 1/2 inches high by nearly 8 inches in diameter and has a slightly octagonal shape. It has no chips, cracks, or damage to the top brass shade ring, and I should mention that the fitter size is 4 inches and the top chimney opening is 3 1/4 inches in diameter. As you'll hopefully see in the photos, alternating panels are decorated with deeply embossed floral designs, while the other panels carry a handpainted spray of pink and white blossoms and buds. T is a lot of dimension to the shade, and it's carried through in the alternating shades of blue. Every other panel is done in what I'd describe as a clear sky blue, while the other panels are shaded a bit to violet and are a cornflower blue. Anyway, it's a lovely Victorian era shade that would work well with any parlor lamp, banquet lamp, or even a piano lamp. If t's any information I've missed, or any questions I may answer, please don't hesitate to e-mail.
