This is a Emmy from the "Academy of Television Arts and Sciences"... Winning bidder receives the Emmy with the original photo of the winners. My father Chuck Meyer (Far left in photo) received this Emmy Award in 1962 for his editing talent...The show he edited was called the Mikado...9/11/62 The show was edited on a 2" tape machine (VTR) by splicing the video together using a razor blade and tape.Chuck Meyer also built the first Minicam truck and did the first Minicam LIVE shot with Bill Kurtis in Chicago for WBBM TV Channel 2 Television documented the event on film that convinced New York CBS Inc. that this was the new future of Newsgathering, offering the viewer a new medium w the anchor on the news set could communicate with reporters in the field and interview people LIVE at the story.. Chuck Meyer was also involved in the Nixon Kennedy Debates at WBBM...And was also instrumental in developing new additions to the first portable Minicams (The Ikegami HL series to make them more user friendly/operator) He later became the Minicam supervisor at WBBM as well as KNXT/KCBS Channel 2 Los Angeles.This award and photo are a piece of television history.Also in the photo with my father is...Lee Phillip Bell is a former talk show host and soap opera creator.Lee Phillip Bell is one of the most notable graduates from what is now known as read more
