Hi there. Here's something you don't see every day. This auction is for one season ticket to the EMPIRE EXHIBITION, SCOTLAND - 1938 It is in fairly good used condition. The embossed Lion Rampant on the front is still very legible, but a little worn one one side. Obviously, the ticket has been used for multiple entries. It is signed by the ticket holder Alex Gibson. It is approximately 55mm x 80mm folded shut and 55mm x 110mm when opened out. It is ticket number 124972 and cost £1-5-0 (a lot of money in 1938). This would be the last Empire exhibition before World War II began, I believe. I do not know any more about this item. I have no idea who Alex Gibson is/was. The ticket was in with papers left when my grandmother died. She was born in 1906 Very collectable little item. !
