EMU SP1200 Reissue (93-98) LCD Screen Pre-soldered and modded High quality Transflective FSTN screen Transflective = very good viewing in both bright light and darkness just as well! White LED backlight with black writing. Perfect fit - All dimensions and screw holes fit flush and perfectly. Easy fit. for SP1200's with the PC405 pcb fitted (i.e. most of them. See photo) Your SP needs to have the small PC405 PCB board in it for a solderless plug & play fitting. The majority of SP1200's have this (all black reissues I think) but I don't think the old grey SP1200's do. Best to check if unsure. See my photo. To check: u nscrew the SP bottom and rear screws and have a quick peek at the rear of the front PCB board. You will instantly see if the FAB PC405 PCB is fitted. Bring your SP1200 screen back from the murky depths. This display is Transflective and FSTN. i.e. high quality! The FSTN technology screen gives a higher contrast and wider viewing angle than the cheaper TN and STN displays. FSTN allows clear visibility in both direct sunlight/bright light AND darkness just as well because it incorporates BOTH reflective AND transmissive technologies. No soldering for SP's with the FAB PC405 board inside (which is the majority of SP1200's). You just have to undo the four nuts holding your current screen in, remove it and put this one read more
