VintageGraniteware Flour Canister Here’s a boldly attractive vintage French kitchen canister with red enameling decorated by a raised white and red check pattern , black trim and white lettering which reads ‘FARINE” (flour) from top to bottom. The interior is enameled with a grayish green relish pattern . Rather large and stout, the piece measures 6¼” high with lid, and just over 4” in diameter at the trim. Despite age, this canister remains in very good shape with just some minor spots of enamel loss, notably towards the base, and one on the lid’s edge. As depicted, the interior shows two small dings as well. Still, this is a very distinctive piece just perfect for an authentic French splash in any kitchen décor! !
