An Encyclopedia of Daisy Plymouth Guns, by Gary Garber This book is currently out of print and virtually impossible to find. The book in this auction is especially desirable because it is one of only 20 first edition books made with a hard cover. The author gave a few of these hard cover books as gifts to individuals and organizations. Some were sold, retailing at $95 each. An excellent 400+ page reference book with over 700 color photos. This book covers airguns and toys made during the Daisy Manufacturing Company’s first 70 years of production in Plymouth, Michigan. All 60 different models of Daisy BB guns made from 1889 to 1958 are shown and explained, and of these, over 240 different variations are identified, described, and dated. There is also a chapter that details Daisy’s toys made from the early 1900s through World War II. This hardback version handles very well and lays flat when open. It would be a wonderful addition to any collector’s personal library. To be signed by the author at the winner’s request.
