This diminutive brown teapot with hand painted pink roses, stands just 5 inches tall. Unblemished gold trim adorns ths spout, rim and handle. The lid also has the words "For England and Democracy" written in gold lettering. The botton has the Rockingham Knot, a British Lion, the number 4170 and another motto, "WORLD WAR II, MADE IN ENGLAND, ESCORTED TO U.S.A. BY ROYAL NAVY"Also offered is the original cardboard tag shaped as a teapot with the British Flag and the words, "BRITAIN CARRIES ON" on one side and the following verseon the other: "This English Rockingham teapot was manufactured in the Midlands by courageous British women replacing men who are employed in the defense of their country. The sale of these Teapots in America establishes further credit to apply against the purchases of war material." This beauty is in amazing condition with no chips, cracks or evident wear.
