The item up for auction is two hardcover books - Animal Painters - of England From the Year 1650...A Brief History of Their Lives and Works compiled by Sir Walter Gilbey, Bart. - Volumes I and II. Vinton & Co./London/1900. "Illustrated with twenty-eight specimens of their paintings, chiefly from wood engravings by F. Babbage." Both volumes have an "index to paintings, engravings, etc." Volume I has 253 pages. Volume II has 311 pages. Complete, securely bound with no tears or creases. Both good. Some of the artists represented are: Henry Alken, John Ferneley, J. F. Herring, Benjamin Marshall, James Pollard, John Sartorius, George Stubbs and John Wooton. Sh ipping within the USA via USPS includes Delivery Confirmation and protected packaging. Combined shipping discounts as follows: largest item is full shipping, then 25% for each thereafter.
