This mahogany-styled campaign chest was made in England. Several types of inlaid wood which I believe to be satinwood and possibly ebony adorn the perimeter of the chest top and the outside of each of the drawers. The top of the chest has weatd brass corner pieces and recessed brass mounted drawer pulls with handles on either side of the chest. This campaign chest styled in the tradition of a military chest of drawers has shaped bracket feet. T is an identifying brass plaque on the inside of one of the drawers with the following information: B & H Jewell; Little Queen St.; Holborn, W.C. I have owned the chest for about 30 years and purchased it at an antique store w I was told it was an antique. I am not certain of the exact dating of the piece, but feel it to be reasonably old. The drawers are dove-tailed. I am not an antique expert; consequently, I am unable to authenticate any further information. The chest had immense appeal to me when I initially acquired this piece and downsizing is the only reason I am parting with it now. The approximate dimensions of the chest are as follows: H-32"; W-32"; D-19". The clean lines of this attractive piece would compliment an assortment of different styles of furniture.
